I turned 50 a while back. It wasn't a big deal. It wasn't a big deal because I'm not a big deal. I'm not important or special on this planet; I'm just like everyone else.
Life is hard.
People are rude no matter what kind of smile you put on your face. People are cruel no matter what you do for them.
Some people do what they are supposed to do and some don't. Some times that will leave you in a lurch. It's a big deal sometimes and others it's not. When that happens step up to the plate and know who you can count on and who you can't.
The world isn't here to make you happy.
Growing up sucks and it's hard.
You didn't ask to be born. You didn't ask for your life but it is yours. You don't have to be a brilliant mind to be brilliant at something, you just have to practice. You are allowed to be good at something (a skill) and not the best ever at it.
Most (almost every human) doesn't care about your feelings. I don't know why this is hard to accept.
No one should* respect you unless you earn it. Key choice word...should. You should have to earn respect. Your existence is wonderful...now make yourself useful.
